Last Saturday night in Albufeira saw three women attacked in the space of eight hours.
National tabloid Correio da Manhã says two of the incidents have been put down as “domestic violence”, while the last – in the early hours of Sunday morning – appears to have been random.
The first was called in around 9pm in the Valmangude district. A 50-year-old woman “attacked by a close relative”.
Two hours later came the report of a 62-year-old injured at the hands of her partner, and then a few hours later, a 51-year-old was mugged in the notorious Montechoro district by “people she did not know”, says the paper.
