A GNR agent and his wife were among three people who died early yesterday evening in Ansião following a violent collision involving a motorbike and a car. The impact was such that the motorbike exploded. The agent and his wife were projected more than 100 metres, while the driver of the car was also killed. Two passengers in the car escaped with only light injuries and were transported to hospital. All the victims were from Ansião.
