Three cultures come together

The Largo da Sé in Faro was transformed recently as part of the first ‘Festival of Three Cultures’, jointly organised by the Fundação Pedro Ruivo and the city câmara. The event comprised three themed nights featuring artists from three cultures – Arabic, Christian and Jewish – performing music, dance, street theatre, cooking demonstrations and workshops. A spokesman from the Fundação Pedro Ruivo said the event has been a complete success and that the festival would be staged again next year.
