Three British tourists in ‘Stand-Up-Paddle’ rescue off Sagres coast

The joys of SUP (stand up paddleboarding) turned sour off the coast of Sagres this week for three young British women on holiday. The trio had to be rescued by maritime police after strong currents around Beliche beach made it impossible for them to make it back to shore. A rescue launch sped to the scene, and the young women were brought back “tired and cold” but otherwise unharmed.
