Thousands  for Rocha

Portugal’s secretary of state for tourism, Bernardo Trindade, has announced government financing of more than 557,000 euros for refurbishment works to public spaces in Praia da Rocha.

The project is aimed at improving public areas such as gardens and car parking facilities.

Portimão Câmara aims to complete the renovation of Avenida Tomás Cabreira from Hotel Júpiter to the fortress, the main pedestrian walkway of Praia da Rocha, by the end of this year.

According to the ministry of the economy, “this is an important contribution for the improvement of one of the Algarve’s most popular tourist areas”.
