“At last” were Rob Thorne’s words after ending his five-year wait for a major trophy with an impressive 37 stableford points.
Pestana Vila Sol in Vilamoura was this month’s venue and could not have been in better condition, with Alistair Smith, Fraser Graham and Paul Simpson taking the minor honours.
Nearest the pin winners were Gareth Mclinchey and Fraser Graham.
The September event is already fully booked but there are still a few spaces left on October 19 at Palmares.
