Third dose already being administered in Portugal to immunosuppressed

Reinforcement of current Covid vaccines is already being undertaken in Portugal for the roughly 100,000 or so citizens who are immunosuppressed. DGS health chiefs are promoting the shots for cancer patients, people with organ transplants/ autoimmune diseases and/ or HIV positive. The booster shots will be either Pfizer or Moderna mRNA vaccines. Explain reports, “in scientific terms, there is still no evidence that a 3rd dose would be highly advantageous for the majority of the population”. Other countries however have decided differently and are already rolling out 3rd booster shots to the wider population.
