The Italian progressive rock band performs songs from the iconic Second’s Out album on Tuesday, September 19.
The Nau Salgados Palace Hotel welcomes The Watch for a concert on September 19. The Italian progressive rock band will play the famous and iconic album Seconds Out, one of Genesis’ best live albums, as part of their 2023 European Tour.
The Watch is an Italian band composed of five musicians: Simone Rossetti (lead vocals, flute, keyboards, synthesisers), Valerio De Vittorio (keyboards, synthesisers, guitars, vocals), Mattia Rossetti (bass, guitars, vocals), Francesco Vaccarezza ( drums, percussion, vocals) and Giorgio Gabriel (lead guitars).
Their music is inspired by the classic progressive rock of the 70s, and their first album of originals was launched in 2001. Since then, they have released albums in 2004 and 2007, and in 2009, their first live record.
Thanks to the similarity between their singer Simone Rossetti’s voice and Peter Gabriel’s, they quickly found the formula for success: performing Genesis’s greatest hits from the 70s.
The first concert will be in the Algarve, at Salgados Palace, on September 19, and the second at CAE in Figueira da Foz on the 21st. Then they head to Porto, to the Sá da Bandeira theatre on the 22nd and finish their Portuguese tour with a bang in Lisbon at the Aula Magna on September 23.
Tickets are available on Ticketline and at the usual ticket offices.
