Vale do Lobo will be hosting a summer of open-air thematic concerts featuring fado, piano, violin, Portuguese guitar, jazz, bossa nova, soul, Latin and classic sounds at the stunning setting of the new Vale Real experience area, overlooking one of the golf courses’ iconic lakes. The Vale do Lobo Summer Music Sessions are back!
Vale Real will host several artists who bring outstanding performances to watch in the late afternoon, settled close to nature, and with a shinning sunset and golf lake views as their background. From June until the beginning of September, every Saturday will be marked by exclusive and intimate concerts for a limited number of people. Let’s have a look at what they have in store for us in June and July, shall we?
Opening these year’s Summer Music Sessions at the resort, on the 11th June, the singer-songwriter of fado and Portuguese music Duarte Côxo makes his debut in Vale do Lobo in the “Sunset with Fado” magical evening, that promises to engage everyone in a unique sunset lulled by a Fado and Portuguese music concert.
On the 18th June, “Vale Real Meets Jazz” by Paulo João Santos 4tet, promises a lively evening of jazz and blues rhythms, revisiting the great themes from the American songbook to timeless standards.
On June 25th, other relaxing tunes and melodies will inspire a memorable musical evening with the “Classical Quintet Afternoon” by the Lisbon and Cascais Classical Quintet, that vows to take us on a journey through classical and revisited repertoires, from the baroque period to present day, and from the great authors to the bands that have left their mark on generations.
In the July, the concert programme at the resort starts on the 2nd with “Samba and Rhythm for the Soul” by Nuno Bastos, in a celebration of life and contagious rhythms, perfect for enjoying a summer afternoon in full with your family or friends.
“A violin and a sunset” by Mr. Vlaven & Pedro Carrilho, is the theme of the intimate concert that will take place the following Saturday, July 9th, inviting you on a voyage through contemporary music by the unmistakable melodies of the violin, in a perfect combination of rhythm and talent, with the sublime setting of the sunset over the golf course lake.
Jazz and Blues are the inspiration for the intimate concert “The “bluesy” jazz concert” that takes place on the 16th July, by the contagious Trio Chicoronho in a musical evening that is simply not to be missed.
And, of course, summer in Vale do Lobo would not be the same without the return of the emblematic open-air concert which, this year, promises to exceed all expectations on the 23rd July with the magnificent voice of Áurea, one of the most successful artists of a new generation of talents in the Portuguese music scene.
Back to the Vale Real Experience setting, on July 30th, “The Piano and vocals of the world” concert will present two great and exceptional Portuguese artists, Rúben Alves and Paulo Ramos, who promise a simply unique evening of world music to delight your ears.
All of Vale do Lobo’s experiences and events are specially designed for both their community and visitors, and reflect the true meaning of living life to the fullest that the resort embodies. And August promises to bring even more exciting events and concerts, so keep an eye out for what’s next.
The Vale Real Experience concerts cost € 20 per person for the general public, and tickets can be reserved online. Pre-booking is necessary as places are limited.
