People who know me, know that I am a bit ‘over there’. I am proud to count a Shaman, various healers and witches among my friends, and in my experience their take on what is happening in the world is way ahead of what the so-called experts are trying to tell us.
There seems to be a general consensus among such people that something is about to happen. That isn’t very specific and it is as frustrating for them as it is for me as a writer and you as a reader. Even those with strong connections to what we call ‘alternative sources’ of information, say something will happen in October, but they are not being told what. More Nostradamus nonsense, you may think. Perhaps. But when so many gifted people from all over the world are saying the same thing, I for one can go along with it – whatever ‘it’ may turn out to be.
Being a curious individual – in more ways than one – I have been doing my own homework on the internet. Jeff Rense is a radio presenter in US, and he has his own website, www.rense.com, where he posts the type of comments and statements that controlled media cannot print. One such statement concerned the break-up of the North Pole – I quote the opening paragraph, with full acknowledgement to www.rense.com and the author Dirk Dunning:
“The north east passage across the Siberian polar ice is open. The glaciers on Ellesmere Island and the northern and northeastern shores of Greenland are collapsing within a matter of days. The channel between Greenland and Ellesmere Island is open. Only about 250 miles of ice remains on the north shore of Greenland, connecting it to the polar ice. And that is breaking up. Within weeks, the refreeze should begin. Depending on how long it is before that happens, massive changes may occur at the pole before the freeze. The polar ice may well break free from land on all sides.”
I’m no scientist, but even I can see that this is not healthy. Several weeks ago, Skip wrote about changing weather and climate, and warned of various countries being flooded and so on. If massive ice floes break away, float south and melt, the effects on sea temperatures and water levels will be catastrophic.
Anything else? Plenty! At the site of National Geographic, no less, I found the headline ‘Earth’s Magnetic Field is Fading’ (http://news.nationalgeographic.com). John Roach tells us that the magnetic field is 10 per cent weaker today than it was in 1845, when German mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss started measuring and logging results. I quote: “If the trend continues, the field may collapse altogether and then reverse. Compasses would point south instead of north.” Hollywood has already leapt onto this potential money-spinner in The Core, but scientists are trying hard to keep us calm. “The field has reversed many times in the past, and life didn’t stop,” says Gary Glatzmaier, an earth scientist and magnetic field expert at the University of California. Maybe it didn’t stop, but it must have confused the heck out of the many birds and animals who navigate using magnetic fields, not to mention the effect on us – we live inside this magnetic field grid as well. What happens if the magnetic field collapses? According to Hollywood, we will suffer massive electrical storms, blasts of solar radiation and more. Scientists say that this is not accurate – but won’t give their own scenario. The last time the Earth’s magnetic field flipped was about 780,000 years ago. According to the Earth’s geological records – trapped in molten lava, rock formations and so on – the planet’s magnetic field changes, on average, once every 200,000 years. In my book, that makes us well overdue for a quick flip!
Strange, too, that so many people have started talking about the next big earthquake to hit Portugal. The big one here was November 1755. It demolished most of Lisbon and reached as far as the Algarve, destroying parts of Faro, Vila Real de Santo António and more. Seismic experts are predicting that there could well be another big one within the next five or 10 years. No, you’re right, that’s not October, is it?
OK, back to the homework, and back to rense.com. Two regular correspondents have been debating ‘the next 9/11’ based on numerology, and the theory – steadily gaining ground even among the most sceptical and patriotic – that it was, in fact, the US Government that master-minded that tragic event. While one correspondent is naming September 27 or November 11 as the likely dates and Houston/Pasadena as the likely location, his opponent is giving us October 1, 11 and 19 as likely hit dates.
I am going to England for the first 11 days of October – purely by chance, if you believe in that – and my visit includes a two-day conference called ‘Living the Field’. This is billed as ‘The marriage of science and the spirit, and speakers include an astronaut and various scientists as well as respected healers and metaphysics teachers. Perhaps they will have some answers and – if we are all here when I get back – I will be delighted to share their revelations!
