JOSÉ VERAS and camera flyer Luís Candeias representing the Portugal Skysurf Team were the overall winners of the seventh Portuguese Skysurf Cup held in conjunction with the first stage of the 3rd Skysurf Protour.
The crowd at the Portimão aerodrome, near Alvor, was treated to spectacular stunts performed at up to 300km/h, the images from 4,000m up in the air being relayed to a giant screen on the ground.
The Algarve Skysurf Team only managed seventh place in the final classification but locals were still able to celebrate as Vania Cabrita and Andreia Santos walked away with the coveted Miss Protour Portimão and Miss Personality titles, respectively.
