The Royal British Legion Portugal Branch Algarve Group (East) held its second lunch meeting at Quinta da Fonte do Bispo on September 2.
David and Elizabeth Atkinson were delighted by the number of people who attended and the event was enjoyed by all. Neville Woodcock summoned guests to lunch on his bugle, and live music was provided after the meal.
A raffle at the event raised €320. David, who is responsible for the organisation of the meetings held in the East of the Algarve said: “Many thanks to those members who donated the raffle prizes including Jems Showrooms in São Brás, and our thanks again to Richard, Gillian and staff for looking after us.”
On September 27, following a supper, there will be a Royal British Legion presentation at Quinta do Bispo at 7pm for 7.30pm. The presentation will be given by the Portugal Branch Chairman and Branch Membership Secretary.
The group’s next lunch meeting will be held on October 7 and all are welcome to attend both events.
