CONCERT PROMOTERS, Ritmos & Blues, have announced that The Police will be performing in Portugal later this year as part of their 2007 reunion tour.
The scheduled date is September 25, two days before the band’s sold out date in Barcelona. The venue has still not been confirmed as there is a current dispute whether the concert will be held in Lisbon or Coimbra.
As the venue is likely to be in one of the cities’ football stadiums, the promoters need to consult the schedule for next season’s football season before confirming the location.
The three piece rock band reunited earlier this year for the first time since 1986 to perform at the Grammy Awards in the US. They will begin their reunion tour in North America at the end of May before beginning the European leg in August.
