Prime Wine of Loulé has long been known to trade professionals as one of the leading distributors of foreign wines in the Algarve.
They are responsible for importing and distributing many of the foreign wines you may see on supermarket shelves here in the Algarve and on the wine lists of restaurants and hotels.
But the good news for wine lovers is that their new warehouse in the industrial park just outside Loulé is also open to the public with a retail display area showing off a great selection of wines from countries including France, Italy, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Chile. They are also starting to stock a small but growing collection of Portuguese wines.
If you’re looking for pink, then the selection of Provence rosés is second to none and, when it comes to France, most of the main regions are covered from Burgundy and Bordeaux to the Rhone Valley, the Languedoc and more.
For those who appreciate the finest in Sauvignon Blanc, the Pouilly-Fumé from Château de Tracy (costing €22) is an outstanding example.
