A Michelin star has been awarded to The Ocean Restaurant at the five star hotel, Vila Vita Parc, in this year’s 2010 Spain/Portugal guide.
The gourmet restaurant has been headed up for the last two years by Executive Chef Hans Neuner.
At the age of 33, Hans, originally from the Tyrol in Austria, heads a team of six chefs in the kitchen and fully acknowledges that this has been a team effort.
The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday each week and offers a degustation menu that varies every week as well as a normal à la carte menu.
The restaurant opens its doors in the evenings only and diners are offered an intimate and stylish setting with a terrace, winter garden and views of the Atlantic Ocean.
There are two special events taking place at the Michelin-starred restaurant during the Christmas period.
On Christmas Eve there will be a Gourmet Dinner and on December 29 there will be a Wine and Dine special event.
Vila Vita Parc is a five-star hotel situated in Porches and also has six other restaurants within the complex, along with bars and a wine cellar.
