Based on the Clive Barker short story The Midnight Meat Train, the film follows the brutal and bloody murders of subway passengers by a man with amazing strength.
A shy photographer, Leon, begins to take an interest in the murders and believes he has found the murderer, a butcher named Mahogany. However the police are uninterested in Leon’s claims so it is left to the unlikely hero figure of Leon to stop the brutal murders.
