Golf || The Portugal Masters 2014 takes place once again at the Oceânico Victoria course in Vilamoura from October 9 to 12. Top international golfers will compete in what is now firmly established as one of the main events in the European tour.
Last year saw England’s David Lynn come from behind to snatch a dramatic victory with a blistering final round of 63. This year promises to be every bit as exciting, with extensive television coverage on Sky Sports ensuring that the action is beamed to a worldwide audience.
The Open Media Group, publishers of the Resident newspaper, is also proud to confirm that it is an official media partner of the Portugal Masters 2014.
In another exciting development for the Open Media Group, a new golf magazine, Clubhouse Algarve, is to be officially launched at the Masters.
Tom Callan, Clubhouse Algarve Editor, is enthusiastic about the contribution the new magazine can make to golf in the Algarve. “Clubhouse Algarve will provide up-to-date news of what’s happening in the Algarve and it’s certain that the magazine will be of interest to both visitors and residents. It is an exciting project and I’m also looking forward to further developing our relationship with golf clubs in the Algarve.”
Tom also stresses that “the Portugal Masters is a firm favourite on the European tour for both players and fans, and so it’s fitting that our new magazine is to be launched at such a prestigious event”.
With a prize fund of over €2,000,000 and the promise of a competition played on a superb golf course, the Portugal Masters 2014 is certainly guaranteed to be another memorable occasion for golf in the Algarve.
