Following the success of their 2010 Pro Am series, Blevins Franks are now holding a Texas Scramble golf tournament on July 8.
The tournament is being played on the Oceânico O’Connor Jnr championship course at the Amendoeira Golf Resort, which is designed by Christy Connor Jnr and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with lakes and watercourses spread across the course and is landscaped with mature palm trees.
Its water features demand accuracy and concentration from the golfer, with holes 7, 8 and 9 offering a particular challenge as they run alongside lakes.
The 14th and 15th holes, with their large rolling greens, are tough hurdles to overcome at a critical stage of the round.
The 18th hole brings the course to a fantastic finish, a gentle climb with the river running along the right hand side.
The Texas Scramble is one of golf’s most popular tournament formats, offering a combination of strategy, skill, camaraderie and heartbreak – as well as a lot of fun.
The tournament is open to teams of four players. If you are short of players, Blevins Franks can arrange a team for you.
The cost is €75 per person, which includes a buggy, full access to the practice range before tee off and lunch in the Amendoeira Clubhouse afterwards.
Teams will be teeing off from 8am.
The Blevins Franks Texas Scramble is being held in association with Premier FX and supported by the Algarve Resident, the official Media Partner to the event.
