GROOVE ARMADA are coming to Lagos this summer to headline the second edition of the Algarve Beach Party. The event takes place on Thursday, August 10 on Praia da Batata.
Groove Armada will be performing their DJ ‘Soundsystem’ set and will not be bringing their full live band to the Algarve. The two Djs, Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, are responsible for an array of hits including ‘If everybody looked the same’, ‘Superstylin’ and ‘I see you baby’.
As per last year, the beach will be divided into two different performance/party areas which function simultaneously. Groove Armada will be playing in the main area joined by DJ Vibe, Toby One and King Bizz. The reggae area will play host to Dawn Penn, Bob Figurante featuring Prince Waduda, Jah Vibration, Clandestino and Boom! Selecta featuring Jah Army Soundsystem and Eduh.
The event is being organised by Positiva Records and Lagos Câmara and is expected to attract around 6,000 music fans. The party starts at 10pm and finishes at 7am.
