The best job in the world

Australia’s state of Queensland has created what could be considered as the best job in the world as an antidote to the global economic slump.

The position offers one person the chance to become the caretaker of the tropical island of Hamilton, on the Great Barrier Reef.

This position is being advertised in 18 countries until February 22, with demand from a rush of applicants causing the website to crash.

The successful applicant will be required to feed ocean fish, clean the pool and collect mail deliveries that arrive by plane, as well as have an enthusiasm for snorkelling and enjoying a salary of 150,000 Australian dollars (75,000 euros).
