The Barber of Seville opera comes to Lagoa

The Barber of Seville, the classic comic opera created by Italian composer Gioachino Rossini in the 18th century, will be performed by the oper/arte theatre company at Lagoa’s Carlos do Carmo auditorium on Saturday, November 20 at 9pm.

The opera is seen as one of the all-time greats, with many considering it among the best works of musical comedy.

The story follows barber Figaro as he assists Count Almaviva in “prising the beautiful Rosina away from her lecherous guardian, Dr Bartolo”.

Tickets cost €10 – with a 20% discount available for holders of Lagoa’s cultural passport and Lagoa Social card as well as holders of the Rota do Petisco passport – and can be purchased online at ticketline.sapo.pt, at Fnac, Worten and Lagoa’s Balcão Único or at the venue.
