I just wanted to say a big thank you to The Resident. I have always found it full of very useful information and articles, which keep us up-to-date with everything that’s going on in Portugal (we have a place in Salema).
Recently, I contacted Dave Godwin, your fishing columnist, to see if he could give me a few pointers on beach fishing and casting. I am a complete novice but found Dave to be very friendly and patient, with an excellent knowledge of beach fishing.
I spent a few hours with Dave on a beach near Albufeira; he gave me some great advice and tips, and, after just a few hours with him, I feel I have the basics to get even more out of my trips to the Algarve. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
