The Algarve Motor Park will be the scene of a rather unusual activity on December 26. Managing Director Paulo Pinheiro hopes that the free-of-charge invitation to the general public to participate in the Put your heart in your engine event will raise awareness of ecological and health issues.
Formula Sport will welcome all non-motorised visitors to try out the track on foot, bycicle, roller skates or tricicle/veloped between 9.30am and 2pm on Boxing Day.
Meanwhile it has been announced that the Parkalgar race track will stage a second successive Le Mans Series night stage on July 16 following this year’s popular and successful debut.
Before then the 2009 Algarve rally season will draw to a close in Vila do Bispo this weekend.
Cars, motorbikes, quads and buggies are competing over a total of 110km of dirt track tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday within the context of the last stage of the regional Selenia Trophy.
