Yellow weather warning for the Algarve

Ten districts in Portugal under yellow weather warning

Ten districts in Portugal are under yellow warning on Saturday, due to the forecast of maritime unrest, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

Aveiro, Beja, Braga, Coimbra, Faro, Leiria, Lisbon, Setúbal, Porto and Viana do Castelo will all be under yellow warning until 12 pm on December 13.

The yellow warning is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk for certain activities due to the weather.

The IPMA forecasts light rain or drizzle until the end of the morning, with a gradual decrease in wind. It also points to a small drop in the minimum temperature in the North and Centre and strong sea turmoil on the West coast.
