Police have detained an 18-year-old Portimão youth who was found to be in possession of an arsenal of various weapons and dangerous explosive devices.
The arrest came after the teenager was suspected of releasing a pepper gas device in the elevator of the building where he lives, near Avenida 25 de Abril.
The same youth had already been detained in July for possession of illegal arms after allegedly firing an air rifle in the street and also explodinga Molotov cocktail.
A search of his home revealed reproduction firearms, a crossbow, a stun gun, firearm silencers, ammunition, and telescopic sights for guns.
