A 15-year-old boy who was shot in the troubled neighbourhood of Bela Vista in Setúbal on Tuesday is recovering well in hospital.
According to police sources, the youngster suffered a gunshot wound to his lower back after a rifle was fired from a speeding van in the Praceta Doutor José Romão dos Santos Ferro, near the Bela Vista neighbourhood, at around 9pm
The boy was taken to Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon and is said to be making a good recovery.
The case is being investigated by the Setúbal Polícia Judiciária.
