Estoril golfer Rafael Gaspar emerged as the winner of a three-way tie also involving Eduardo Baptista and Vilamoura’s Gonçalo Pinto to take the Tranquilidade Tournament title on Vale de Lobo’s Royal Course.
The first event on the 2010 Portuguese Golf Federation calendar, which also saw Joana Silva Pinto top the ladies field, was reduced to a single round after adverse weather conditions rendered the course unplayable.
A sunnier climate is anticipated for the 80th Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championships, which are scheduled to take place at the Oceânico Amendoeira course between the 28th and 31st of this month.
