Tears in the back of a taxi

Dear Editor,

I have been going to the Algarve for 14 years, if possible three times a year, but I absolutely hate the travel from the airport to Albufeira.

The taxi drivers are mad and travel far too fast. Obviously this is so that they can get back to the airport to get their next fare but, at times, I seriously consider going somewhere else on holiday.

I wish there were more traffic police on the motorway to slow them down.

I am not alone in my views as nearly everyone I speak to feels the same. I have been in tears in the back of a taxi and have only got them to go slower by telling them I was going to be sick.
