Teachers Union threaten new strike

Fenprof, the teachers union, is threatening a new strike after the latest despatch from the Education Ministry which, it claims, condemns thousands of its members to “special mobility”. “Special mobility” is the situation where teachers are without work but receiving a much-reduced wage from the state until a vacancy becomes available. Fenprof says it will be meeting at the end of the week to decide what kind of strike action should be taken.
