Teachers union Fenprof says it will consider it “a provocation” if current minister continues into next government

Just as public sector syndicates have started drawing their lines in the sand ahead of the forming of the new government, teachers union Fenprof has said it has no fear of a majority executive. What it wants when parliament is recalled is meaningful dialogue, something it has been unable to forge with current education minister Tiago Brandão Rodrigues. Talking to journalists today, Fenprof secretary general Mário Nogueira went as far as saying Mr Rodrigues’ continued tenure at the education ministry would be regarded as a form of provocation. Fenprof is determined to fight for improved pay and conditions for its members.
