SINTRA CÂMARA has approved a proposal that will reduce the municipal property tax by 10 per cent in 2008.
This measure has been accepted in a bid to promote the restoration of buildings and foresees a decrease of up to 30 per cent tax for buildings that have been restored and for those that have received notification to carry out repairs.
“The Câmara’s current financial situation allows us to reduce the taxes without compromising the responsibilities that we have undertaken,” said Sintra’s Câmara President, Fernando Seara.
