Malware || Portugal’s tax authority has issued a warning over a fake email being sent out in its name.
The mail is designed to plant ‘malware’ in users’ computers.
Says AT (Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira): “In no circumstances should people click on the link included or authorise any kind of file transfer, as the risk of compromising computers and data is high.”
Issuing the alert on its web portal AT warns users to be constantly suspicious of links and files sent via email.
In this particular case, the email is entitled: ‘Autoridade Tributária – Débitos’.
