Tavira’s Sonâmbulos youth futsal team won the prestigious “Iniciados” Regional Futsal Championship when they beat Pedra Mourinha (Portimão) 4-2 at the Luz de Tavira Municipal Sports Hall.
The Tavira team were in impressive form having won their last 14 games. The crowd of around 400 supporters were treated to some spectacular skills and ball control in this fast moving five-a-side indoor football that is gaining in popularity.
Sonâmbulos could now meet top ranked opposition in the form of Sporting or Benfica in the “Iniciados” National Futsal Cup.
