Nearly 1,000 special packs filled with school materials are going to be handed out to primary school pupils in Tavira this month.
Families will be notified to pick up their packs at the local council on September 11, 14 and 15 between 9am and 5pm.
Costing €28,000, the initiative is designed to “help families during times of financial crisis and give children the necessary conditions for another school year”.
