Three months after opening, Tavira Mini Golf staged its first championship with 18 players challenging for the title. A fun occasion for all the family resulted in septuagenarian Richard Revell from Fuseta setting a new course record of 79, three under par.
The idea for this new venture was conceived by local residents Julie and Mike Hawe earlier this year. A piece of land was acquired on the EN125 and the project reached fruition in July.
The 18-hole course takes about an hour and anyone scoring a hole-in-one gets a free pass. Happy hour is between 5pm and closing time at 8pm with reduced green fees and a free drink.
