Tavira Câmara, in partnership with the high commission for immigration and intercultural dialogue, has developed and launched a website, available in English, Portuguese, Russian and Romanian, which caters directly for foreign immigrants.
Users can find useful information about living in Portugal and Portuguese legislation on the site such as access to health care and education, the recognition of qualifications, Portugal’s social security system and more.
The website also includes many questions and answers as well as contact details of national and regional bodies that can offer assistance or advice on many issues.
As well as helping the foreign community, Tavira Câmara aims to learn more about the realities of immigration within the council so that policies are created to help with the integration of immigrants.
