Two insect hotels have been installed at Tavira’s Parque da Água to “signal the start of spring and nature’s pollination cycle”.
The wooden structures were set up to act as a site for “hibernation in winter and reproduction in summer”.
The project has been developed by Tavira Council and Tavira’s Centre of Living Science.
“Promoting the lives of insects is promoting life on Earth and boosting the sustainability of ecosystems,” the council says.
