Two members of staff who suffered second and third degree burns during an explosion at the Tavira Gran Plaza shopping centre on January 15, remain in hospital.
José Barata, a spokesman from the Tavira Gran Plaza told the Algarve Resident that the two victims, aged 66 and 41, were carrying out electrical maintenance work when the incident happened.
“One has been transferred from Faro hospital to Coimbra and the other is at Santa Maria hospital in Lisbon,” he said. “We do not yet have the conclusions from the inquiry into the incident.”
