Chamber music groups from the Algarve Orchestra are performing tonight (Friday) at the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Algarve (catering and tourism school) in Faro as part of the ‘Melodies & Tastes’ event.
From 8pm, a gourmet dinner will be served with performances by the groups in-between courses.
First, a chords quartet will take to the stage with musicians Krassimir Dzahambazov (violin), Laurentiu Simões (violin), Ângela Silva (viola) and Zsuzsanna Brezovai (cello) playing works by Alexander Borodin and Dmitri Shostakovich.
Following this, it will be the turn of the Swansea Town woodwind quintet with Stefania Bernardi (flute), Eun-Hee (oboe), Cristina Anton (clarinet), Eduardo Sirtori (bassoon) and Thomas Gomes (horn) featuring music by Gordon Jacob. Price per person is €50.
