TAP’s two-day strike with “total adhesion”

The first day of TAP’s two-day cabin crew strike this week has begun with “total adhesion”. Minimum services decreed by the courts are running thanks to TAP’s low-cost arm Portugália. Syndicate leader Ricardo Penarroias has stressed that TAP’s management has made no contact with a view to dialogue over the union’s threat of five further days of strike action before January 31. “We are always available”, he told reporters. “But it won’t be worth meeting for any meetings that result in a handful of nothing…”
