Portimão’s popular ‘Tapas Route’ (Rota dos Petiscos) is already accepting applications for local restaurants interested in taking part in the 2015 edition of the event, which will take place between September 4 and October 11.
Organised by local association Teia D’Impulsos, ‘Rota dos Petiscos’ has become one of the Algarve’s main gastronomic events.
Involving dozens of restaurants offering a variety of typically Algarvean dishes and desserts at extremely accessible prices, the route also features a colourful entertainments programme, with concerts, street theatre, dance shows, art exhibitions, workshops, and wine and food tastings.
Last year, a total of 222,550 went on the route – generating over €500,000 worth of business for participating restaurants.
