TAP sees passenger numbers skyrocket 21.7% in 2017

Portuguese airline TAP flew 14.2 million passengers in 2017, a 21.7% increase on the year before. This translates into 2.5 million more passengers than in 2016.

The Lisbon-Porto air link was the most popular, having registered 726,000 passengers.

The airline says that flights within Europe most contributed to the positive results, with 8.7 million passengers flying to and from European destinations.
