Tap Portugal double billed me and won’t return funds

Dear Editor,

Tap Portugal double billed me $1,252 on August 2, 2022 and has had no refund for the double billing after a half dozen calls, emails, and request on social media. We were sent over to a complaint form (which was broken/could not submit) and we’re on hold for hours and hours of time.

Tap charged me $1,252 twice, a total of $2,504, to upgrade to business class. It should have only been $1,252.

I’m seeking a full refund of the mischarge and compensation for this as we were left without our travel cash for a wedding in Europe.

This has been an incredibly stressful and just overall terrible experience spending a week of our vacation trying to communicate with the customer support team with no resolution. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I hope someone is able to take action immediately, we really don’t deserve this and feel TAP needs to remedy so we can enjoy what’s left of our trip.
