TAP pilots in Lisbon recently, saying they simply cannot take any more management abuse and injustice

TAP must pay pilots more than €50 million – Supreme Tribunal

TAP MUST pay around 1,000 of its pilots over €50 million. The Supreme Tribunal has upheld a complaint by pilots union SPAC over calculations made by management over salaries and holiday pay dating back to 2010. TAP must now meet with pilots and negotiate repayment arrangements. According to Expresso, tension between the company and the various worker syndicates “is agitating”. As the paper recalls, TAP is being ‘re-structured’ by the Portuguese State (meaning, with taxpayers’ money) to the tune of €3.2 billion.
