TAP inquiry asks market regulator to lift justice ‘secrecy’ over fundamental questions

The TAP enquiry committee is asking the Securities Market Commission to lift its ‘justice secrecy’ on information that it considers fundamental to understanding the intricacies of events that have been taking place within the ‘flagship airline’ over the last two years. This decision followed a hearing of more than four hours of the president of CMVM, Luís Laginha de Sousa, who invoked the duty of secrecy and  secrecy of justice, not to answer several questions, including how many other former directors have received severance pay of many hundreds of thousands of euros.
