TAP CEO’s ‘pornographic’ bonus “could alleviate staffing cuts” at airline

Much of the outrage following revelations of the €2 million ‘bonus’ payable to TAP CEO Christine Ourmières-Widener if she achieves the objectives of the airline’s restructuring plan is that no-one appears to know what the restructuring plan involves. Another large bone of contention is that a public company could be so profligate with taxpayers’  money when staff at TAP are facing deep salary cuts… to comply with said restructuring programme.  Cabin crew syndicate SNPVAC stresses: “We demand a serious transparent management. We are not against management bonuses but we are against a management whose only objective is to gain a prize at the cost of our salaries, our lives and our rights”.
