FOUR BRONZE statues by António Antunes, the well-known cartoonist who has worked for 30 years for the weekly Expresso newspaper, were presented to the Estoril Casino art gallery recently. The artist and his sculptures were introduced by Expresso journalist Henrique Monteiro and sculptor João Duarte. The statues by ‘António’, as he signs his work, include busts of Luís de Camões and Fernando Pessoa. The sculptures are part of an exhibition of contemporary art that is currently on display at the gallery.
