Challenge yourself to complete either a five kilometre walk or run, a 10km run, a 20km cycle or a 20km duathalon cycle and run in the fabulous Ria Formosa this Sunday (October 24) and raise lots of money for children in need in the Algarve at the same time. The entry fee of 10 euros for adults, five euros for under 16s and 20 euros for a family (two adults plus kids) includes a great ACCA T-shirt, water en route and free raffle. All participants should ideally complete an entry form in advance, which can be collected from Barringtons Golf and Health Spa reception. Sponsorship forms are also available on request at Barringtons. Cheques should be made payable to ACCA.
If you really cannot get to Barringtons to complete the entry form in advance, it will be available at the race registration point, but please arrive in very good time to do this. All participants should meet at the latest at 9.30am at the Ria Formosa bridge car park in Quinta do Lago, where each event will start separately. A spokesman from the ACCA commented: “The event has been sponsored by Dunas Douradas, the Melting Pot, Quinta Shopping and Barringtons.
