Tabloid claims ministers of infrastructure and environment leaving government’

Tabloid Correio da Manhã is running with the headline today that both João Galamba and Duarte Cordeiro will be leaving government in the messy wake of Operation Influencer. As of today, only Mr Galamba is an ‘official suspect’ (arguido) in the case. Mr Cordeiro’s name has come up, but he has not been cited as an ‘official suspect’. Nonetheless, CM suggests both men will be leaving government before March next year (the moment for legislative elections). Many believe Mr Galamba’s exit could come following the acting PM’s meeting on Tuesday with President Marcelo.
