With elections out of the way and the government now with an absolute majority, José Abraão, secretary-general of public sector union SINTAP and the federation of the same, FESAP, has warned there are no more reasons not to resolve the problems of the country – and most particularly the problems of public sector workers whose salaries have been in ‘stagnation’ since 2009. If there the necessary dialogue doesn’t transpire, Mr Abraão said his members will be taking their struggle once again onto the streets.
